Tajika · ताजिक
Annual solar-return charts using Perso-Arabic aspect doctrine.
Tajika is the annual-chart branch. A new chart is cast for the moment the Sun returns to its natal longitude, and the year is read from that chart with aspect rules — application, separation, translation of light — that entered India through Perso-Arabic sources.
How it works in practice
- Cast the Varshaphala chart for the exact solar return.
- Identify the year lord (Varshesha) and the Muntha's house.
- Judge the year through applying and separating aspects between planets.
- Read the annual result against the running Vimshottari period, never in isolation.
Strengths
- Purpose-built for one-year forecasts and yearly reviews.
- Aspect doctrine gives explicit ordering of events inside the year.
Cautions
- An annual chart cannot promise what the birth chart does not.
- Solar-return timing is sensitive to the birth time and the ayanamsha used.
How it differs from other schools
vs Parashari
Uses orb-based applying aspects and a year lord, where Parashari uses whole-sign aspects and dashas.
Read Parasharivs Muhurta
Tajika reads a year that arrives on its own; Muhurta chooses a moment deliberately.
