Kundli
A Kundli (birth chart) maps where the Sun, Moon and planets were at your exact birth time and place, divided into 12 houses starting from the rising sign (Lagna).
Accurate birth time, place and time zone matter: a few minutes can change the Lagna and house placements. Astravya calculates positions with an astronomy engine, never with AI guesses.
Nakshatras
The zodiac is divided into 27 Nakshatras (lunar mansions) of 13°20′ each. Your birth Nakshatra is where the Moon was at birth, and it sets the starting point of your Vimshottari Dasha.

Dasha
Vimshottari Dasha is a 120-year cycle of planetary periods (Mahadasha), each split into sub-periods (Antardasha). Traditional readings link themes in life to the running period.
Dasha dates in Astravya are calculated from the Moon's exact position; interpretations are traditional guidance, not certain predictions.
Yogas
A Yoga is a specific combination of planets, houses or signs that classical texts describe as significant — for example Gajakesari (Jupiter in a kendra from the Moon) or the five Pancha Mahapurusha yogas.
Texts differ on exact conditions and strength. Astravya only shows a Yoga as approved once its rule and source edition have passed review.
Panchang
The Panchang is the Hindu almanac of five daily elements: Tithi (lunar day), Vara (weekday), Nakshatra, Yoga and Karana — used to choose auspicious times along with Rahu Kaal.
