First: how it forms
When Mars is in the 1st, 4th, 7th, 8th or 12th house from the Ascendant, it is called Manglik Dosha. Many traditions add the 2nd house and also check from the Moon and Venus — so different sites can give different results.

The most widely accepted cancellation: if both partners have a similar Manglik placement, tradition treats them as balancing each other.
Mars's own condition
With Mars in its own sign (Aries, Scorpio) or exaltation (Capricorn), many traditions treat the dosha as reduced. Some give exceptions for particular house–sign combinations, on which teachers disagree.
Influence of benefics
Jupiter aspecting or joining Mars, or strong benefics in the angular houses, are also treated as weakening it.
Age and other beliefs
Some say Manglik Dosha ends after age 28. This is a folk belief; not all traditions accept it.
